Mid-Century Modern Articulating Floor Lamp in Chrome & Black Enamel

This refined Mid-Century Modern chrome and black enamel floor lamp was realized in the United States circa 1970. Four serpentine zig zagging cylindrical chrome supports ascend from a volumetric rectangular base culminating in cupped concave shades- of staggered heights- all in lustrous polished chrome. The backs of the shades are perforated, which serves both an aesthetic and functional purpose, allowing heat to escape. The shades are secured by u-form supports in black enamel, and articulate allowing the client to direct to the light sources at their discretion. Full of verve and élan, this piece embodies the qualities of late American Mid Century Design that discerning collectors cherish. Its clean modernist lines and monochromatic palate make this floor lamp as versatile as it is stunning, blending with any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It accommodates four candelabra based bulbs offering up to 240 watts of light. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition.
