French Louis Philippe Painted & Gilt Mirror

Description
A large mirror supported by a molded wood frame with a worn finish crafted in 19th century France. The original glass backed in mercury shows a bit of foxing, diamond dust at bottom edges, and is surrounded by a carved bead border. The once originally gold gilt, the frame was painted over black which has aged to show the gilt peeking through. Make sure to check out the detailed photos for a closer look.
