Marble console made in the 1970s by Angelo Mangiarotti for the publisher Skipper (manufacturer's label visible in a photo). Hollowed out with two circles at the front, the top rests by interlocking on two conical legs forming a solid base. With its ingenious assembly, the “Eros” model has become an icon of Italian design.

Angelo Mangiarotti (1921-2012): Italian architect and industrial designer, Mangiarotti graduated in architecture and polytechnic. In the early 1950s, he left to teach in Chicago at the Illinois Institute of Technology where he met Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Gropius and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe who would influence his work. Actor of the birth of Italian design in the 20th century, he received numerous awards in Italy and collaborated with the greatest editors such as Cassina.
