Description
The "63" totem sculpture by Rod Kagan is a stunning example of modern abstract art that would make a bold statement in any space. Created in 2006, this particular piece is number 5 in an edition of only 6, making it a rare and unique work of art.
Standing at an impressive 61" tall, the sculpture draws inspiration from the totems of Native American cultures and features intricate details and textures that are reminiscent of other modern artists such as David Smith, Joan Miró, and Alexander Calder.
The bronze material used in the sculpture was a favorite of many modern artists including Alberto Giacometti and Isamu Noguchi. The overall effect of the sculpture is one of power and beauty, with its organic forms and abstract motifs resembling the works of Henry Moore, Jean Arp, and Barbara Hepworth.
The "63" totem sculpture by Rod Kagan is a valuable addition to any art collection, and its unique combination of influences from many famous modern artists make it a particularly noteworthy work of art. Its striking size, intricate details, and powerful presence ensure that it will continue to captivate and inspire art enthusiasts for many years to come.
This piece would look exceptional in any mid century modern, modern or contemporary home or office. Comes with the black stand-- with stand, it stands over 7' tall. Provenance available upon request, and we have the original sales receipt from August, 2006. Most of Rod Kagan's sculptures can be seen outdoors and they look wonderful both with and without the green patina. This piece has always been an indoor piece, thus does not have any weathered patina. -
