Large gilt bronze, ruby red and clear cut glass vase
French, 20th Century
Height 80cm, diameter 36cm

The brightly coloured ruby red glass fluted body of the vase, is adorned with delicate clear glass detailing. The vase terminates in a tulip neck mounted with an egg and dark ormolu (gilt bronze) border.

A superbly faceted glass sphere rests atop a shining gold ormolu base. The base is adorned with various motifs such as egg and dart, beading and scrolls, some similar to ormolu detailing found on other parts of the vase.

An eye-catching decorative piece, the vase can be displayed as a stand-alone piece or among other decorative objects of choice.
