French 19th Century Directoire Trumeau Mirror

Sold Sold
  • Description
An endearing trumeau mirror, painted a restful celadon green tone, is illuminated by trim of gold gilt around the frame and crown molding. The frieze above the mirror plate depicts a Greco-Roman soldier in the central frame, flanked by illustrations of laurel wreaths enclosing a quatrefoil symbol. Each of the mirror plates has a glimmer of foxing, while the lower panel is more affected. View the detailed images.
