Mid-Century Modernist Figural Landscape in Watercolor on Paper of Musicians
-
Description
This lively Mid-Century Modernist Figural Landscape in Watercolor on Paper of Musicians originates from France during the 20th Century. Features five figures playing a variety of instruments standing in the foreground, depicted in large flowing brush strokes of crimpson over a light pink ground color. Thinner dashes of black are used to add structure to some of the figures and the details of the instruments. The figures occupy the foreground and tower to fill the picture, creating an intimate scene and stable composition. A brilliant and effortlessly depicted painting, this piece will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Fitted in an ebonized gallery frame. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
