Description
This elegant pair of Charles X chests of drawers originates from the Emilia Romagna region of Italy and dates to the first half of the 19th century. Crafted in solid walnut, each chest exemplifies the understated sophistication characteristic of the Charles X period, with refined neoclassical proportions and beautifully balanced lines.
The façades feature four generously sized drawers, graduated in height and adorned with simple round wooden knobs that retain their original charm. The walnut wood has developed a rich, warm patina over time, highlighting the natural grain and lending the surfaces an inviting, timeworn texture.
Gently curved front edges and delicately turned bun feet add a touch of softness and classic appeal. These chests are as functional as they are decorative, offering ample storage while maintaining a clean, elegant presence. Perfect for flanking a bed, anchoring a living room, or elevating a hallway, they suit both traditional and transitional interiors seeking warmth, history, and timeless Italian craftsmanship. -
