Description
This elegant set of four dining or salon chairs showcases the refined neoclassicism of the Directoire style, crafted mid-20th century. Each chair features a beautiful oval-back frame fitted with a tightly woven, pristine cane backrest that allows light to filter through seamlessly. The solid wood frames are finished in a weathered, cream-painted finish displaying light rubbing along the edges to accentuate their classic lines.
The generous, round overstuffed seats have been updated with recent fabric, featuring a stylish, cut-velvet geometric medallion pattern in soft taupe and cream tones. The seats are bordered by a molded apron with understated rosette-carved corner blocks, elevated on fluted, tapered front legs with ring-turned cuffs and gently outswept rear saber legs. -
